Dance, Dance, Dance

Audrey is dancing again this year.  She snuck into the three year old class a few weeks before she was officially 3 since she was potty trained.  She has made a little friend in her class.  It's really cute to see them play with each other before class.   Who knows how long Audrey will like dancing but for now she is a total ham!

Muscle Walk

I've had the pleasure of working with a wonderful group of students who are fighting the good fight of muscle disease.  It was an honor to walk alongside them this weekend.

Happy Labor Day

Today is Labor Day and Audrey and I are having  a lazy Labor Day.  Daddy is in Abderdeen.
It was funny when Audrey asked him "You in Oklahoma?"
She's starting to learn the places that he travels frequently.

We started the weekend out by celebrating Sadie, Piper and Jordan's 5th birthday.  Audrey is really into mermaids too.  It's always fun to see the girls together.  She really does look like their little sister. There's something special about girls born on September 17th!

Uncle Bryan and Aunt Stephanie were in town for the A&M game.
The highlight of her weekend might have been all of the structures Bryan and Stephanie helped her build.  Luckily, they'll be back soon for her birthday party.

Hives

Last Friday, Audrey woke up covered in hives. This has happened once before and Benadryl and one dose of a steroid cleared them up.  As the hives got progressively worse during the day, we spent our Friday night at the Children's Urgent Care center.

They seemed to be getting better.  We even met friends out for dinner. When we got home, she started breaking out again and her little body was covered on Sunday.
So back to Urgent Care we went.

Another steroid that seemed to help.  Nana came to the rescue and took Audrey to her follow up appointment with Dr. Shuman on Monday.  Another few days of steroids and a referral to an allergist.  And one fun trip to the mall, of course.
Tuesday night, Audrey was eating a typical dinner of a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of milk.  Her face immediately started breaking out so maybe one of those two foods are our culprit.  Allergy testing to come soon!

Back to School

We returned back to school today after a pretty fabulous summer.
It's been so hot lately that it's miserable to go do "fun" things so it was time.
Audrey was pretty grumpy this morning but I know she'll adjust back to the school routine soon.
Here are a few things she told me this morning as I was trying to get her ready.

"I  just CAN'T open my eyes."
"I don't want anyone to look at me."
"I will NOT pee."
"Cinderella doesn't wear a bow" when I tried to put her bow in her hair.

Just for fun, here's a picture of the night before school. Complete with "Elsa" socks on her hands!

Cabo

Neal and I were able to sneak away to Cabo for a long weekend.  Very relaxing trip!

Audrey was clearly distraught that we left her at Nana's.

The best part of coming home from an adults only vacation was being serenaded by this little cutie!
