Valentines Day

We've never really been big Valentine's people.  Maybe because we celebrate my birthday just days before.  Our weekend started off with a little gift from Tiger Trail.
I'm a sucker for anything with a handprint or footprint.
We went to dance Saturday morning.  I'll never get tired of seeing her in that class even though they do mainly the same things every Saturday.
We came home and put on our Valentine's best to head to Corpus.
Fancy Valentine dinner at the local Mexican restaurant, lol!
After rolling off the bed and slamming her head into the wall at 3am, I thought she deserved a treat in the form of Froot Loops.  "These good mommy!"  I'm sure they are little one and it will probably be another year before you get them again, so enjoy!
We spent most of our time in town visiting Grandma and Ite.  We even got Grandma out of the house for a little while to go to the grocery store and to eat lunch.

This is 37

I'm still not sure how I got to be 37 but thus I am.  I'm getting a little closer to 40 than I'm comfortable with.  37 isn't that bad when I think of this little sunshine that I call mine.
Neal and I went to a very nice dinner at Brennan's.  This is a horrible picture but it was nice to just sit and talk.  Here's to many more!

More Hives

Audrey woke up the other day covered in hives.  This hasn't happened in a few months and we're still unsure of  what caused it this time. After Benadryl not working, we went to see Dr. Shuman.  On the way there she kept saying "I go see Dr. Lu"  and "see the monkey at Dr.  Lu's"  Dr. Lu is the dentist and has a monkey on her sign.  That was about a month ago and it amazes me what this kid remembers.
So we saw Dr. Shuman and got a steroid dose which worked like a charm. She told Dr. Shuman to "wash off her spots" which was funny.  After the doctor appointment, I asked her if she wanted to go home or go back to Tiger Trail. "Take me to Tiger Trail please."  I told her that it was nap time and if she went back, she'd have to take a nap.  "Ok, I go rest my friends."  So my rule following 2 year old made me go back to work too instead of taking the rest of the day off!

Houston Marathon '15

This one is a little late but here's a recap of Marathon weekend.  I think she's a little confused as to what in the world we were doing out so early all bundled up.  She also had a little stomach bug that weekend and wasn't feeling her best.
But she managed to cheer for the runners for a minute or two.  "Go go go people!"
BJ was in town to run his first 5K.
And we got to spend some time with Coleson.  Still not sure how he got so grown up!
I also took a little trip down memory lane to 2007.  Known as the year I lost my mind and ran the marathon.  Never again!

Saturday 'O Fun

We met Sara and the girls at Elise's Family Fun Center on Saturday.  It turned out to be a really nice place and it was nice to go somewhere that was not super crowded like any place in Houston on a  Saturday.
This girl is fearless.  She only needed help getting up thing a few times before she had it figured out and "I do it."
Any day with cotton candy is a good day!
A car full of fun!  It's so funny how Audrey just fits right in with the girls.
Oh my goodness, this picture represents the two minutes that I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest.  This thing went up and down and really fast.  All that was holding her in was a rope and of course she wanted to wave to us instead of holding on.  I was glad when this one was over!
Audrey stayed with Nana and I headed back to Houston for an impromptu date night.  Crawfish, beer, and home by 8:00.  When did we become old?
Bonus: Sunday was too pretty of a day to not be outside.  She is fearless at the park too!

Audrey Lately

Doesn't everyone sleep with their purse?
She can finally reach the pedals but is still trying to figure out how to push them to make the bike go.
The zoo carousel is always a hit!
Wild child after school one day.
On  nice days, I walk to Tiger Trail to pick up Audrey.  I look like a crazy lady pushing an empty stroller on the way there but it's worth it.  Especially now that she can have a little conversation on the walk back.  She also likes to kick off her shoes!

"I lub you Mommy."
Hot mess after school.
Playing at the mall playground.
Visiting Baby Alex.
Conversations with Mack.  This one went something like "I lub you Mack.  Don't touch my legs Mack."
Happy as can be.
Fixing her chair with her tools.

Potty Time

I really wasn't in a rush to get Audrey potty trained.  There's glory in being in public and not having to rush around to find a potty.  Well little Miss Independent had other plans and has pretty much potty trained herself. She started talking about going tee-tee and using the potty a lot.  We put her in panties one day and that's all she wrote.  There's been a few accidents at home and school but for the most part she's doing really well.  She tells me often in them morning when she wakes up "take diaper off, I big girl, I wear panties."  It's also a good thing I'm not a germaphobe because public restrooms really are gross, especially when two tiny little hands touch everything.
Wash those hands good and move along.

Dentist Visit

Audrey went to the dentist a while back for a cleaning and a check up.  Our little rule follower patiently waiting for her turn.

She jumped right in the big chair and smiled for the assistant.  Dr. Lu cleaned and counted all of her teeth.  Two of those pesky two year old molars are in and two more to go.  Clean bill of health for her tiny little teeth.  The cutest part might have been her saying Dr. Lu's name.  Something like Dr. Looooo!
