Birthday Parties

Birthday parties are one of my favorite things to do with Audrey.  She always has a blast and it's fun to visit with people we may not see very often.
I may or may not be already planning her 3rd birthday.

We went to Brady's superhero party at Happy Playland.  I knew Audrey was fearless but we haven't been to his place since last summer and she's definitely become more confident in climbing on the structures.  I looked across the room and she was hanging from one of the monkey bars.  I got over just in time to catch her when she let go.  That was a long way down for a 2 year old!
Cupcakes are always a hit!

Next we celebrated Victoria and Charlotte's birthdays at an Equestrian center.  It was pouring down rain but that didn't stop the girls' mommy from putting on the party of the year!  Charlotte is Audrey's BFF and the morning of the party, she woke up singing "Happy Birthday Charlotte, I'd like a cupcake please."   Audrey was the lucky girl who got to ride a 2nd pony in the same week.  Except this one had a bit of a mind of its own.  He was a feisty little thing. He'd show his teeth and then try to take off with the kids.  She rode him (her?) like a champ!
The best picture I got of the BFFs. Another funny was when they
were passing out cake and Audrey screamed "get in my tummy!"
I got plenty of steps on my Fitbit by chasing this little toot around
but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Audrey Lately

Spring Break or Bust

We had the Spring Break of all Spring Breaks.  We're certainly not homebodies and enjoyed every minute of being out and about. We were sad Daddy was in Dallas most of the week but we enjoyed having Nana and KK with us for a few days.

First stop was the rodeo.  She has been talking non-stop about "Dash".  She does the cutest imitation of his snort.  I think she wants Nana to buy her a pony.
My little Piggy at the pig races.
The pig gal even picked her to be the cheerleader for the blue team during one of the races.  Our pig one and Audrey's prize was a pooping pig on a keychain.  Just what we needed.  Uncle Justin actually got a kick out of it and it now lives at his house.
We watched the new Annie with KK.
Uncle Justin treated us to lunch in Kemah.
We walked around the boardwalk for a little while.
Why is this ballooon tipping to the right?
Family train ride.
Started our spring/summer wardrobe with new clothes.
Made a random afternoon trip to the zoo.
Seconds before this giraffe came down to say hello to us.  For some reason, it scared me more than Audrey.
Bribed her with ice cream to listen to me.  Geez, I've become that mom.
Went to story time at Blue Willow Bookshop.
Played at the park.
Watched Annie.  Again.
Played at Chickfila while Mama enjoyed a free frozen lemonade.
Went to the park. Again.
Did a little painting.
She was pooped!

Until next year Spring Break!  Now the countdown to summer begins!

RodeoHouston

Rodeo season is winding down but oh what fun we had.  We started with Go Texan Day at Tiger Trail.  This non-crafty mama borrowed a stick horse for the "homemade stick horse parade."  It was freezing this morning but being the good mom that I am, I was determined to get a picture of her sans jacket.  I'm pretty sure she was pointing to her jacket that Neal was holding.
New earrings from a great friend. Thanks   Diana!
A flashback to Baby's First Rodeo Season.  Man, I look tired and am ever so thankful that Audrey sleeps all night now.
It was freezing but the Tiger Trail rodeo parade was cute.
Wanted:  One Crazy Toddler
To kick off Spring Break, the parents got to go to the rodeo.
We had a great time in the wine garden, seeing Pitbull, and dancing in the Hideout.
My old Rodeo running buddy.  We used to tear up the rodeo several times a week.  Glad our paths crossed and we could hang out again.
