Children's Museum Night

Being that my school is a Title 1 school, many grants and opportunities come our way.  This particular one was courtesy of United Way.  The Children's Museum presented a math night for our families and we went to check it out.  She thinks she's one of the big kids and told me "I play that game" and "I like mommy school."

The Cutest Thing Ever

My eyes have seen the cutest thing ever.  Toddler ballet.  She is quite the little listener and rule follower and says "I go dance".

Winter Blues

Winter is easily my least favorite time of year.  Cold, dreary, rainy days are not for us.  2015 has started with many inside days.

Painting.  She's very meticulous and only likes to use one color at a time.

Hello 2015

Getting ready to welcome 2015 with a little father/daughter yoga.  

On New Year's Eve, we went to the children's museum for their New Year's Noon event.  

We spent New Year's Eve evening at the Conrad's house.  She loved the fireworks and even stayed up until midnight.  Between the Conrad kids and their new puppy, she kept going and going.  

She was pooped on New Year's Day!

Christmas!

Santa brought Audrey a balance bike.  She was with us when we bought it to make sure it was the right size.  She tested it out in the store and then we brought it home.  For a few days, she would ask "Where my bike go?"  We'd tell her that she needed to ask Santa for a bike to which she replied "No ask Santa.  Bike daddy's truck."  Guess next year we need to be sneakier as to not bust the Santa bubble quite yet.

We went to the park the day after Christmas.  We put the bike in the wagon and then rode it at the park.  After about 5 minutes, "I tired mommy."  Hard work for a 2 year old!

We made a trip to Corpus on the 27th to wish Ite a happy birthday.  Glad we were able to spend a couple of days with Grandma and Ite.  Hard to see but Audrey put her bow in Ite's hair.  

Christmas Eve

We went to the family Christmas Eve service at our church.  It did not have the fanfare of the traditional candlelight service but it was really a nice litttle service geared towards kids.  Audrey melted my heart when she marched up to the front of the church with the other kids to hear a story.

Aunt Kathryn gave me this outfit the weekend before that is one that I wore when I was Audrey's age.  Wasn't exactly what I had planned for her to wear but I was totally digging the vintage look.

Heiner Christmas

Instead of exchanging gifts, we all went to the Really Big Christmas show at Second Baptist.  It was a little over the top for my taste.  I would have preferred a litlte more Baby Jesus and a little less Whoville on Crack.  Nonetheless, it was nice to be together snap some Christmas pictures. 

 Second Baptist has a really cool, really large train display with this snow bubble.  I misjudged the size of my behind and bonked my booty backing out of this thing with a toddler in tow.  In front of a million people.  But oh well, this cute picture was worth the public humiliation. 

Weekend in West Palm Beach

Neal had a work meeting in Florida in December and I was able to tag a long for a quick weekend getaway.  Something special about Christmastime at the beach.  Especially a nice beach with pretty water and no stinky seaweed.  

Christmas Happenings

Our annual trip to Zoo Lights.  She talked about this for days.  "I like zoo lights. Zoo lights pretty."

Our church did a children's event with a Superhero theme.  

Music and dancing were right up her alley. 

They had the cutest photo booth complete with snow.  

Several nights after dinner, we walked down to one of the cul-de-sacs to see our buddy Frosty.
