4th of July

We were actually in town this 4th of July and were able to participate in our neighborhood parade.

First the girl had to deck out her wagon.

Ready to go!

Ready for the parade!

We might not have a fancy backyard but sometimes this is all you need.
And a Nana who "jumps" in the pool fully clothed to play.

Oh what a difference a year makes!

We went out to Katy to continue the celebration.

Popsicle drunk.

By the time the fireworks started, somebody was tired and it started to rain.  She pretty much had a death grip on me during the whole show.

Frozen Sing-a-Long

I've officially drank the Frozen kool-aid.  I swear that there are sublimal messages in that movie that makes one love it so.   Miller Outdoor Theater hosted a Frozen Sing-A-Long.  It was almost rained out but I'm so glad we were able to go because I can't think of anything much cuter than thousands of "Elsas" and "Annas" singing Let it Go at the top of their lungs.

Quick Trip to San Antonio

Neal had a conference in San Antonio during the week and we decided to tag along.  We left at the crack of dawn, parked downtown, and Neal changed into his work clothes in the parking lot.  Fancy.

First stop was the alamo.

Then the San Antonio Children's Museum.

Lunch on the riverwalk.  I call it a success since I didn't have to fish a curious toddler who loves "agua" out of  the river.

After playing and walking and more playing and more walking, we stumbled across an ice cream shop that had Frozen playing.  It was perfect timing since we were about 10 minutes away from an epic meltdown.

Bryan and Stephanie hosted us at their new house.
Bryan made Audrey earn her keep by putting her straight to work as the "lawn girl."

Visiting KK

Back in June, we took a road trip to visit Aunt Karen or "KK" as Audrey likes to call her.  She took us to the really cool children's museum on the Baylor campus in Waco.

What in the world is that on the floor behind Nana and Audrey?
We also visited the Fort Worth Zoo.  Audrey kissed the crocodile and about gave me a heart attack.

Nothing says summer like a visit to the sno-cone stand.

When in the country, you rock the sweaty baby to sleep on the swing on the front porch.
