Happy Birthday Stella!

I never really thought a 2 year old could make real friends but she loves her Tiger Trail friends.  We went to a birthday party for Stella.  She said "Happy Birthday Stella" on repeat for the days leading up to the party.

Guess what? Another Frozen party!  She was so happy to see Anna and Elsa.  It was so cute for her to get excited to see her friends.  Hi Stella!  Hi Mia!  Hi Kelsey!   Her mind was also blown when her teacher Ms. Jasmine showed up.

We took a tour of the butterfly rainforest exhibit and she followed right along with the big kids.  She was in to it and a great listener for a 2 year old!

The best picture I could get in the buttefly room.  She was constantly in motion chasing the butterfliess.  All was fine until one landed on her and she started saying "yuck yuck yuck!"

Tiger Trail

Well I came to write a current post and found this one still in my draft folder.   School pictures from the beginning of school.  Who cares if it is now Thanksgiving.  Tiger Trail is a big thing that we're thankful for!

Meet the teachers.

Ready for the first day of school.

I untentionally trained her to stand by the tree each morning before going to school to take a picture.

Firefighter Audrey.

First days of school brought a stomach bug and pink eye.

First pony tail.

Ms. Gabby is a much better hairdresser than Mommy.

Runs to the door each morning.  "Let's go!"

All about me project.

2nd Birthday Party

We had Audrey's 2nd birthday at the Noah's Ark pool.  Houston had torrential rain the whole week before the party and I was worried we might be rained out.  But alas, the rain moved out of town and we had the most perfect birthday for our favorite two year old.  We had a great turnout.  My heart almost jumped out of my chest with joy to see her running around, splashing in the water, and chasing her friend around the pool

Happy Birthday Audrey!

Audrey is Two!

And just like that, my baby is two years old.  I only got emotional a few times when I let myself reminisce about the day she was born.  I still can't believe this little creature is all mine.

We started the "birthday week" with a triplet birthday party which happened to be across the street from my mom's house.  Always a good time and she even got her traditional bump on her head from falling on the concrete at the party.

She's two going on 16.  I've never really been sad about her getting older because it's exciting to me to see her learn new things and interact with us in new ways.   Each stage is better than the previous one.  Sleeping in a toddler bed and starting to sit on the potty.  Saying things like "hey guys, c'mon" and "love you Mack".  She has turned in to quite the little mommy and loves taking care of her babies.  Her favorite shows are Doc McStuffins and Frozen.  She likes to wear our shoes and can even find the matches in our messy closets.  She can run and jump. When asked what does a monkey say, she points her finger, jumps up and down and says "no no no monkey, no bed"  in honor of Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.   She can count to 5ish, although most of the time is 2, 4, 5 but it's a start.

Birthday Fun

We had so much fun celebrating Audrey's birthday.  I'm a sucker for "then" and "now" pictures so it seemed appropriate to snap a picture of her wearing the same dress she wore right before she turned 1.  I'm also a sucker for smocked bishops.   Same dress, same tree, same girl.
Twas the night before turning 2.
Somebody got up bright and early on her special day.
Goodies were waiting for her that morning.  She went straight to the presents and knew exactly what to do with them.
Best attempt to get a picture of the new two year old before school.  Love that belly!
She was a trooper when we went to Hobby Lobby afterschool to buy a few things for her birthday party.
We spent the afternoon at the mall to continue the celebration.  That's the beauty of being two, the little things make her happy.

Like riding the train through the mall.
Riding the carousel.  We bought 3 tokens so each time it stopped, she asked Neal for "more ride" and walked to give the lady her token.  So cute and grown up!
Fancy birthday dinner at Chick-fil-a.
I think the look on her face says its all.  She had a great 2nd birthday!  Now that she's in a toddler bed, she takes a few of friends to bed each night.  She loves this baby doll and I sometimes hear her giggling and talking to the baby after I tuck her in at night.
